Team INSPYR
Innovation in Sports for Positive Youth Resiliency

Team INSPYR helps young people build the skills, habits, and confidence they need to thrive—by translating proven success principles from sport and performance science into practical tools for everyday life.

We strengthen health, leadership, and connection so youth are prepared not just to succeed, but to sustain success over time.

Mission, Vision, and Core Pillars

Mission
Team INSPYR equips young people with evidence based wellness and leadership skills by applying sports based success principles—such as discipline, recovery, teamwork, and strategic thinking—to support healthy development, educational attainment, and long term opportunity.

Vision
A future where all young people experience belonging, develop real world capabilities, and contribute meaningfully to their schools, professions, and communities.

Core Pillars Overview
Our work is grounded in four pillars:

Whole‑Person Well‑Being
Applying adolescent health and lifestyle medicine practices that support physical health, emotional regulation, stress resilience, and sustainable performance.

Education & Career Readiness
Connecting strengths, interests, and values to academic achievement, technical skill development, and workforce preparation.

Community Engagement
Fostering collaboration, service, and responsible participation in local and professional communities.

Digital Literacy & Connectivity
Building skills for safe, responsible, and effective engagement in digital environments.

Community Partnerships
We work in collaboration with schools and community based organizations to strengthen youth support systems, expand access to developmental opportunities, and promote measurable outcomes in well being and readiness.

What we do

The Team INSPYR Success Architecture

Team INSPYR applies universally transferable principles from sport—such as discipline, recovery, teamwork, and strategy— with evidence-based health and wellbeing frameworks to support youth success in academic, professional, and community settings.

Our model intentionally integrates:

  • Health‑supporting daily practices
  • Leadership and skill development
  • Measurable well‑being and readiness outcomes

Evidence‑Based Frameworks

Lifestyle Medicine

(Foundational Practices)

Programming incorporates the six lifestyle practice areas recognized by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine: physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, risk avoidance, social connection, and healthy nutrition.

Eight Dimensions of Wellness

(Developmental Outcomes)

Well‑being is supported across physical, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, financial, intellectual, and personal development domains.

Youth Thriving Indicators

 (6C Framework)

Outcomes are measured through established indicators of competence, confidence, connection, character, caring, and contribution.

Sports‑Informed Leadership Principles

Universal leadership concepts that are key to sports success—such as excellence, self‑awareness, responsibility, and perseverance—are embedded to prepare young people to perform with confidence, adapt to challenge, and contribute positively to their communities.

Why We Exist

The challenge and opportunity:

Young people often encounter disconnected systems addressing health, education, and development in isolation. Team INSPYR bridges these gaps by integrating wellness practices with leadership and readiness skills in a cohesive, youth‑centered model.

Sport‑Inspired Development

The performance principles that underpin athletic success—consistent practice, recovery, teamwork, and strategic thinking—offer an inclusive and effective framework for development across diverse settings.

Measurable Youth Outcomes

Participation supports growth in:

  • Communication and collaboration
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • Emotional regulation and stress management
  • Responsible risk awareness

Leadership and Community Contribution

Youth are supported to develop ethical leadership skills and to participate constructively in their schools, families, and communities.

Leadership

Team INSPYR is guided by a founding board with combined expertise in adolescent and sports medicine, legal governance, and organizational risk management. This interdisciplinary leadership ensures programs are grounded in scientific evidence, ethical standards, and best‑practice safety protocols.

Our founders’ professional collaboration began during their university training at Georgetown University, where shared commitments to service, rigor, and responsibility shaped a long‑standing approach to leadership and mentorship.

Integrated Leadership Expertise

Clinical & Health Oversight (Medicine)

Programs reflect adolescent health science and lifestyle medicine principles, including recovery, nutrition, stress regulation, and sustainable performance.

Ethical & Organizational Governance (Law)

We emphasize accountability, transparency, and clear standards of conduct—translating lessons from sport into professional and civic leadership contexts.

Strategic Safety & Risk Awareness
(Risk Management)

Youth develop structured decision‑making skills to evaluate risk, protect long‑term goals, and navigate complex social and digital environments.
